~~oOo~~ Stuff About Me ~~oOo~~

· I’m a single parent. I’d say blissfully single, but that might be a tad bit tacky. Just to get the awkward moment out of the way, bratlet’s father died when he was 4.

· I tend to talk a lot about my kid, he’s pretty much my life, so a lot of who I am revolves around things dealing with him. I also talk about my (somewhat boring) life without mentioning the kid, my pets, and random things that catch my interest.

· I have an Associates in Arts for Social Work and an Associates in Liberal Arts for Creative writing. Neither degree amounts for much, work wise, and while I *do* still take classes at the college; I’ve no idea what I want a Bachelor’s degree in. I know a lot of fun, but essentially useless stuff.

· I write. It may not necessarily be good and it may not be your cuppa, but I write. It varies from original poetry and short stories to fan fiction. Yes, I have been published and actually been paid for my poetry, so some poor schmuck out there likes what I write. Currently I’m into Harry Potter, although I do dabble in other fandoms. A good portion of what I write is of an adult nature – so cavet empor (or rather let the reader beware instead of the buyer).

· Conversely, I read voraciously. I will literally read anything and everything, from science fiction to real life murder mysteries, comic books and anime to historical romance, I’ll even go as far as to translate mythos in their original language because I want to read the story (lately I’ve been translating Celtic mythos from Gaelic).

· I’m addicted to strange television shows, like Dr. Who, the 4400, Lost, Amazing Race, and things of that nature. I also like cartoons, though I’ve not been watching cartoon network as much as I used to since they canceled Samurai Jack.

· I love to travel. I literally work so I have money to travel, and I bring my bratlet along with me on my adventures. His first trip was when he was a month old.

· I am a military brat (3rd generation in fact), so I suppose that’s where my love of traveling comes from – when you’re used to moving every two years as a child, you tend to develop an affection for change.

· I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. Now, you might say that I am a grown up, but I like to think of myself as a perpetual child – I find wonder and amusement in everything, all the ‘grown ups’ I know have lost that luster. Good thing I know lots of other people like me :o).

· Friending policy… I don’t really have on per se, other than preferring that you be of age in whatever country you live in, since some (okay a lot) of what I talk about is of an adult nature. You are free to add me, or remove me from your list as you desire, however, I may not reciprocate, it just depends on whether or not you and I might have anything in common. I also randomly add people to my friend list that I think might be interesting, if I do add you, you don’t have to add me back, unless you decide you want to.

  ~~~oOo~~~ Freedom of Speech Disclaimer ~~~oOo~~~      Some of what I write is of an adult nature, and as such carries an NC-17 rating.  If the thought of adult themes, sexual situations, and the like disturbs you then either skip over that part or click out.
It is called being a responsible reader.  If it is not something you would enjoy, or care for, there is nothing that stops you from  not  reading it.  So, please, if you are easily offended, then choose to be self aware and click elsewhere.    I do not normally lock my posts, I just ramble on about things that strike my interest, bitch about my life or things I see online that catch my eye, and whine about things when I feel the need to. Anyone is allowed to comment, if they so wish, or friend if they like, though whether or not I friend you back depends on if we share some of the same interests. Some things might be offensive, occasionally things are bitchy, but on the whole, I'm not ashamed of what I have to say and I refuse to censor myself for the benefit of others.  That is what the click out button is for, use it, I'm not forcing you to stay and read what I've written.  If you have a problem with anything I say, well you are entitled to have that problem, but don't expect me to modify what I say, believe, or talk about just to suite  your  needs.
The stories posted on any of the fan fiction sites listed below, my own blogger, and this livejournal involving characters not created by me are all fictional parodies - none are true, nor are they approved of by the celebrities named or the original author of the character used in the stories. Fan fiction authors write these fictitious stories or create art about famous people and/or stories for the same reason that Larry Flynt made fun of Jerry Falwell, because they can. The Supreme Court of the United States, the country where this site is located, has ruled that parodies involving famous people are perfectly and totally legal under the United States Constitution. The specific case law on this was decided in the case of "Hustler Magazine, Inc. et al. v. Jerry Falwell" in 1988. No harm is intended toward the celebrities featured in these stories, but they are public figures and in being so, they must accept that they are fair target for parodies by the public.  I believe in the first amendment , and more broadly, in the basic principle of  free speech  and this section may push the boundaries of that principle, but the United States Supreme Court has approved of this type of material. I believe that the Supreme Court was correct in their decision.
